Diabetic Foot Assessment
Neurological and vascular checks for the diabetic foot, recommended every 12 months.
Diabetic Foot Assessment
A comprehensive diabetic foot assessment checks circulation, sensation and skin integrity, identifies pressure points, reviews footwear, and stratifies your risk, so we can prevent ulcers before they start.
For anyone living with diabetes, an annual foot check is one of the most effective ways to stay ahead of complications. The assessment combines a neurological screen (sensation, vibration and reflex testing) with a vascular screen (pulses, doppler readings, capillary refill) and a thorough skin check.
For patients with reduced sensation, we also offer in-shoe pressure monitoring, an objective test that highlights pressure hot-spots inside the shoes you actually wear, so we can identify ulceration risk before any skin damage occurs.

Choose the level of assessment
We offer two levels of diabetic foot assessment to suit your risk profile and what your GP or care plan needs.
Basic diabetic assessment – Regular fees apply
A neurological and vascular screen, skin and nail check, and footwear review, included as part of a regular general foot care appointment. Suits patients with stable diabetes and no current foot concerns who just need their annual check ticked off.
Best for: low-risk feet, routine annual checks, GP care plan reviews.
Comprehensive assessment with pressure mapping – Regular fee plus $75
Everything in the basic assessment plus in-shoe pressure measurement of your everyday footwear, biomechanical screening, and a written report you can share with your GP, endocrinologist or specialist team.
Best for: insensate feet, history of ulceration, complex offloading needs, footwear or orthotic prescription.
