Pressure Measurement & Gait Analysis
In-shoe pressure mapping plus video gait analysis.
Measured care, not guesswork
Pressure measurement and slow-motion gait analysis let us see what your foot is actually doing inside your shoe, not just what it looks like from the outside. We use this data to fit better orthotics, validate offloading for high-risk feet, and track how treatment is working over time.
In-Shoe Pressure Measurement
a clinical in-shoe pressure measurement system
We use a clinical in-shoe pressure measurement system designed for clinicians. Sensor insoles slip into your normal shoes, transmit wirelessly to a laptop, and capture pressure data at every step, walking, running, stairs, anything you can do in clinic.
This means we can measure the difference an orthotic, padding, strap, or change of footwear is actually making, instead of guessing.
What we can measure
- Peak pressure distribution, where load is concentrated
- Average pressure across the gait cycle
- Force impulse over time
- Centre-of-pressure path (gait line)
- Cyclogram of step patterns left vs right
- Direct comparison of pre- and post-treatment data
When it helps
- Diabetic foot offloading, confirming the foot is actually unloaded
- Custom orthotic prescription and review
- Footwear assessment and recommendations
- Sports and running performance reviews
- Heel pain, forefoot pain, plantar fasciitis

Slow-Motion Video Gait Analysis
Slow-motion, frame-by-frame
Walking and running happen too fast for the eye to catch the detail that matters. We use clinical-grade video analysis software, the same kind used by physios, sports scientists, and biomechanists, to capture your gait and slow it down frame by frame.
From there we can measure cadence, stride symmetry, foot strike pattern and timing across the gait cycle, and show you exactly what we’re looking at on screen, side by side with your pressure data.
Used together, the two systems answer:
- Where is load concentrating in your foot?
- How are your joints moving through the gait cycle?
- Is your current footwear or orthotic actually helping?
- What changes, measurably, after treatment?
